It's Official - The Bears Are Back!

Massive news for Rugby League fans in Perth today as it has just been confirmed that Perth is officially set to join the NRL within the next three years, with West Australian Premier Roger Cook confirming a $65 million agreement to bring top-level rugby league back to WA.

Taking to social media, Cook revealed that the deal has been finalised, paving the way for the Perth Bears to enter the competition as early as 2027 or 2028.

“We’ve secured a deal with the Australian Rugby League Commission to launch a new WA-based NRL team,” he shared on Instagram.

The NRL are expected to make an official announcement about this on Thursday.
